I have been a licensed real estate practioner with the Victoria Real Estate Board since 1988, exclusively with Newport Realty Ltd., a locally owned and operated brokerage of approximately 60 active real estate practioners. My background prior to becoming a REALTOR®, was in the legal profession where I was a conveyancer and corporate assistant. This previous career gave me excellent background experience in the legal side of what I do today in listing and selling properties. In order to keep my skills up-to-date to best serve my clientele I ensure that my education remains an on-going undertaking, something that I am proud to say our local Real Estate Board was in the forefront of and which now is a mandatory requirement throughout our Province.

I am a multiple-year recipient of the Victoria Real Estate Board's Gold Award. I have three times been elected by the membership to a two-year term as Director of my local Board, the first in October 2005. During these past years I have chaired many of our Board's committees, including Education, Business Practices, Government Liaison, Arbitration and Mediation, Selection Committee and at our Provincial level, I have sat as a member of its Government Relations Committee. For the year 2010, I was selected to be the President of the Victoria Real Estate Board a position I am proud to hold until December 31st, 2010. During this term as President, I will be actively listing and selling properties in the Greater Victoria area, and where required will be assisted by my associate, Stephanie Pink.
